Fishing Rods: Unfortunately, many people today have been misinformed
as to what to look for when selecting a fishing rod for purchase. Some Manufactures simply make and advertise whatever
features that "sells" rods. For instance, the ability to bend the rod tip all the way around to the handle
serves no useful purpose at all. It only demonstrates flexibility and strength.
The things that are important like rod sensitivity, memory, guide placement, guide type and material, reel seat design
and material, percent of graphite, tip over butt joint, what line and lure weights the rod is designed for, etc., are
not even mentioned.
When U.S. Anglers wrote the specifications
and requirements for rods we wanted for our product line, we had a very difficult time finding a source that had rods we could
be proud to offer. Now that we have we wish to point out that these are not indestructible rods and not intended to
be. If you are the type of fisherman who does not respect and take good care of their equipment or you are about to
purchase a rod for a child who is likely to mistreat their equipment then these are not the rods for you. You should
go out and buy one of those so-called indestructible rods. However, if you deserve the best rod at an affordable price,
then the rods we have chosen are the best choice to help you catch more fish.
